Life Forms
Under the Microscope
Alluding to ‘under the microscope’ tissue cultures, these paintings suggest abstract and minimalist manifestations of the becoming and creation of lives. While using diluted acrylic to create transparent ponds of translucent colors, this body of work is also characterized by the usage of brush strokes, to create border-like outlines to the different shapes. Practicing a “control and release” method, it combines freedom and restriction altogether to shape the final composition.
All works are diluted acrylic on canvas unless otherwise stated.
